Northeast Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation

LSAMP Programs

The University of Massachusetts Amherst, Northeastern University, the University of Rhode Island, the University of Connecticut, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute have joined to form the Northeast Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (NE LSAMP).

The program is designed to implement and enhance new programs that encourage and support students in these fields. Support is offered in the form of research opportunities, pre-college and college academic preparation and graduate school programs.

The NE LSAMP will move the partners beyond communication to true collaboration and sharing of best practices and approaches by bringing together expert organizations in minority education, minority professional organizations, and industry. The NE LSAMP works with the higher education institutions and feeder schools to improve the pipeline and maximize student success in STEM fields.
