Undergraduate Mentor/Research Program
The undergraduate research program links faculty mentors and underrepresented students together to do independent research. The opportunity allows students to initiate and coordinate research projects that will further develop their skills in math, science, technology and engineering. The program has the following goals:
- to improve research and information-gathering skills;
- to introduce students to laboratory technique and discipline-specific applications; and
- to encourage advanced and graduate studies in STEM fields.
