About NE-LSAMP

The Northeast Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (NE-LSAMP) a consortium of universities comprised of University of Massachusetts Amherst, Northeastern University, University of Connecticut, University of Rhode Island, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute is committed to increasing the number of underrepresented students participating in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Omari Patterson (an undergraduate majoring in chemical engineering) is undertaking the bioreactor geometry in which he is comparing "wavy-walled" to smooth-walled reactors for tissue engineering.
